Triex Minerals Announces New Director

 Vancouver, BC - Triex Minerals Corporation (TXM-TSX.V) ("Triex") is pleased to announce that Mr. Gary Lindsay of Centerville, Utah has joined its board of directors. Mr. Lindsay's extensive business experience will be of significant assistance to the Triex Board as it evaluates new business opportunities.

During a 19 year career with Dyno Nobel, Mr. Lindsay held a number of management positions in financial administration and executive positions including serving as vice president of finance and senior vice president of sales and marketing of Dyno Nobel Explosives, before being appointed president of Dyno Nobel Inc. in early 1989. During his seven-year tenure as President, the company's share of the North American explosives market increased from 18% to 32% and revenues more than doubled, to $426,000,000 annually.

From 1996 until he sold the Company in 2007, Mr. Lindsay was the owner and president of Tradestar Corporation, a company that specialized in designing and manufacturing explosive hauling and delivery equipment. Tradestar's customers included many large mining companies and the major international explosives companies. Since selling Tradestar, Mr. Lindsay has been serving as a consultant to the explosives industry

Mr. Lindsay earned BA (Accounting) and MBA degrees from the University of Utah.
